How your Hiya double helps

Your Hiya double lives at hiya.to/@yourname. When someone comes looking for you, it answers the common questions itself and writes up anything that needs your decision for you.

What your double does

Answers from what you told it

You tell it what you do, what you take on, what you don't and how to work with you. Every answer people get comes from that.

Knows what is urgent

A collaboration offer, a price question, an invitation to speak: these are passed to you, with who is asking and what they want. Small talk and common questions it handles itself.

Never asks you to hurry

No online status and no read receipts. People can reach out any time, and they know a reply from you may take a while.

Getting started

  1. Pick your name

Your address is hiya.to/@ followed by a name of 5 characters or more.

  2. Tell your double about you

What you do, what work you take on, what you don't, how to get in touch about working together. Nothing is saved until you confirm.

  3. Share your link

Put hiya.to/@yourname in your bios, on your site and under your emails.

Two kinds of pages

Your page

A real person's contact page. Your double answers the common questions from what you told it and passes anything that needs you to you.

Expert pages

Put together from what an expert has written and said in public, such as Marcus Aurelius on Stoicism. Answers point to the original text. It isn't the person replying, and they can't be contacted here.

What stays private

  • Your contact details never appear on your page.
  • Only people you approve get them.
  • You decide whether requests are accepted automatically or reviewed by you.
